Kontio is delivering its first multi‑storey apartment building to Germany, marking an important milestone in the company’s international growth. The project is located in Heiligenhaus and represents a significant step for modern log construction in Central European urban housing. The project is already underway, and the first log deliveries arrived at the construction site in March, marking the start of on‑site log assembly.

The building is based on Kontio’s Kontio Block concept adapted for the German market and utilizes non‑settling SmartLog, demonstrating how massive wood solutions can meet the technical, architectural and sustainability requirements of contemporary apartment buildings. The project also serves as an important reference for the German market, highlighting the growing role of log construction in multi‑storey residential development.
