Kontiotuote Oy, commonly known as Kontio, is the world’s largest manufacturer of log buildings. The company employs just over 200 people.
In 2024, Kontio’s revenue was €42 million, with exports to around 20 countries in addition to domestic sales. Key export markets have included France, Greece, and Canada. Kontio’s log houses, log villas, saunas, and other buildings are manufactured from raw timber into finished products at the company’s own factory in Pudasjärvi. The location is ideal, situated in the heart of northern forests from which the pine used in production is harvested.

Kontio log houses are manufactured according to the European technical approval (ETA-05/0119), which enables CE marking.
We only use PEFC-certified or PEFC-controlled wood. It is a sign of sustainable forest management.
